A. What was the reason for genetically designing GMO's
B. What was the outcome of genetically modified foods
C. What are some of the possible effects of GMO's on society.
A. The reason for designing GMO's was to make for better food security and healthier animals and crops.
ReplyDeleteB. The outcome was better food for people and food security.
C. Allergens and transfer of antibiotic resistance markers are just two of the possible effects of GMO's on society.
The reason for genetic designing GMO's is to alter the genetic makeup of organisms such as animals, plants, or bacteria. The outcome of genetically modified foods is the enhanced taste and quality. Some of the possible effects of GMO's on society are increased food security for growing populations which is good and new advances may be skewed to interests of rich countries which is bad.

ReplyDelete1)GMO's can be more cost effecient and more nutrious for those who sell and consume them.
2)Genetical modidfied food fits the needs of humans more specicfcally and require less time labor and money to produce equaling a stabe food source.
3)It would provide food security to more populations or it will be misused by rich countries.
A.They help plants grow faster and gives more nutrients,it produces more meat on animals. They can make things such as cheese, corn, wine and yogurt.
ReplyDeleteB.They produced more crops and more meat. The mutations help them grow quicker and can give alot of nutrients.
C.It can increase country development. It increases food to help populations grow and be healthy.

A.To make food products safer to eat and to create more and more medicene and vacines.
ReplyDeleteB.The outcome was better for the enviroment and the security in growing populations.
C.unintended transfer of transgenes through cross pollination and loss of flora and fauna biodiversity.
1)it was to make the food security better.
ReplyDelete2)the food and security is better than it use to be

ReplyDeleteA. GM is a special set of technologies that alter the genetic makeup of organisms like animals, plants, or bacteria. Using organisms or their components such as enzymes to make products wine, cheese, beer, and yogurt.
B. intellectual property rights, ethics, food security, poverty reduction, and environmental conservation.
C. Potential human health impacts including allergens transfer of antibiotic resistance markers unknown effects.
A) GMO is altering the genetic makeup of organisms.
ReplyDeleteB) The outcome is they contain medicines and vaccines, foods and food ingredients, feeds, and fibers.
C) GMO effects society by making it more interesting for the rich countries.

ReplyDelete1.) GM is a special set of technologies that
alter the genetic makeup of organisms such as animals, plants, or bacteria. Technologies for genetically modifying foods offer dramatic promise for meeting some of the 21st Century's greatest challenges.
2.) medicines and vaccines, foods and food ingredients, feeds, and fibers.
3.)
Potential human health impacts, including allergens, transfer of antibiotic resistance markers, unknown effects
A.The reason behind the creation of GMO's is to create healthier and more nutritious products for consumers.
ReplyDeleteB.The outcome of the GM food was that they have be come resistant to certain natural and unnatural factors that would usually do them harm or kill them. They also have an increased nutritional value.
C.GMO's seem to bring great benefits to society such as hindering starvation and increased crop quality and quantity.
1)Locating genes for important truits shuch as conferring insect resistence or desired nutrients.
ReplyDelete2)Sweet potatos resistant to viruses that could decimat most of a harvest, rice had a increased iron and vitamins.
3)Human impaacts such as allergens, transfer of antibiotic resistence markers.

The reason for genetically designing GMO's was to insert vaccines & medicines in the products to prevent diseases & other bacteria. The outcome of the solution is now that the foods are vaccinated, people are not likely to get sick anymore buy eating these products. The effects that will happen to our society because of GMO's will be people vaccinating more food products. USA is the largest country that genetically modify their food, and they will continue doing it.The next decade will see exponential progress in GM product development as researchers gain increasing and unprecedented access to genomic resources that are applicable to organisms beyond the scope of individual projects.

The reason for the designing of GMO's was to focus on human and enviormental safty, and also alter the genetic makeup of orgsnism. The outcome of the modified food is better taste and quality of it.Some of the possible effects of GMO's on society are increased food security for growing populations.
